The South Dakota Society for Human Resource Management is the State Council of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We welcome suggestions and comments from human resource professionals across the state and encourage you to contact any Council member listed on this website. The Council:

*May provide a wide range of educational seminars, programs, and other activities that allow members to develop their expertise in the various functional areas that constitute human resource management.

*Provides a forum for members to meet and share information that will help them address human resource issues in their respective organizations.

*Promotes the highest standards of integrity through South Dakota Society of Human Resource Management's (SDSHRM) Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.

*Develops programs and activities that serve to increase awareness and understanding of the human resource management profession by the business community, government, and the general public. We encourage participation in SHRM activities and invite you to contribute your time and talent to becoming involved in your local chapters and working committees, as well as considering involvement at the State Level as open positions on the Council become available. Please take the time to review our new website. We want to become a resource that will be utilized and called upon when needed.

Thank you for your commitment to the Human Resources profession!
