Mission Statement

The purpose of the South Dakota Society for Human Resource Management (SDSHRM) Council is to provide chapter leadership support through proactive information sharing of state and national influences on workforce dynamics; collaborate with leaders to drive good employee and management practices across SD and the organizations we support; promote HR careers through youth education; and bring together HR professionals to facilitate networking.

Letter from the President

An affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, South Dakota Society for Human Resource Management consists of eight chapters with over 400 professionals. Our members include specialists, generalists, business partners and executives representing the broad spectrum of the Human Resource career including compensation, benefits, employee relations, recruitment, human resource information systems, training and organizational development.  Our members come from a wide variety of industries and employers across the state of South Dakota.

South Dakota Society for Human Resource Management promotes the highest standards of integrity to our members through our Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.  We provide a forum for members to meet and share information that will help them address human resource issues in their organizations and communities. We are committed to providing and promoting programs and activities that serve human resource professionals as well as the business community, government, and the general public.

Please take the time to look around our website, and to contact our chapters and State Council for more information. We are a valuable resource that is committed to the needs of our profession, our workplaces and our communities.
